Check your Body Mass Index, understand what it means for your health, and find your healthy weight range.
BMI has limitations — it doesn't account for muscle mass or fat distribution. Use alongside other health metrics.
According to the World Health Organization: Underweight is below 18.5, Normal weight is 18.5–24.9, Overweight is 25–29.9, and Obese is 30 or above. These thresholds apply to most adults, though age and ethnicity can affect interpretation.
BMI doesn't distinguish between muscle and fat. A muscular woman may have a high BMI despite low body fat. Postmenopausal women often have more abdominal fat at the same BMI. Always use BMI alongside waist circumference and other health markers for a complete picture.
